Inspired by the last king of France and his extravagant queen Marie-Antoinette, Louis XVI Haute Cuisine caters for local and international discerning jet-set restaurant lovers.

The décor is unmistakably 18th century Parisian decadence. The low-hanging black Baccarat chandeliers, oversized gold framed mirrors, and period paintings that hang from the ceiling, along with the deep coloured velvet draping and Persian carpets set the scene of opulence.

It is not, however, just the interior that will have you mesmerised: The food is as hearty as it is unpretentious. Louis XVI serves traditional French food, recipes that are centuries old and sourced from the numerous culinary centres of France.

Louis XVI is located in the heart of Rosebank’s Design District in Johannesburg, sharing the spotlight with Moloko and Latinova, two of the city's premier nightclubs; allowing patrons to enjoy a complete and sophisticated night out.

Opening times from 18:30, Tuesday to Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday). Louis XVI is open for corporate functions.
